SC Information Technology Management Office (ITMO) chooses CCT to provide training
UPSTATE, South Carolina, February 21, 2019 (0800) – CCT Business Training, an established B2B training provider in the Upstate, is one of three companies in South Carolina able to offer technical training to state agencies. The other companies that were awarded contracts from the state are located in the Midlands and Low Country.
Under terms of the contract, CCT will draw from nine Upstate counties to provide training in 40 core courses selected by the SC Information Technology Management Office (ITMO). The Upstate counties have not had a training provider in more than 5 years. There are almost 200 state agencies in South Carolina, and those with offices in the Upstate will be able to procure training using funds appropriated by the state in order to take advantage of courses at CCT.
This contract, which becomes effective immediately, allows employees of a state agency to obtain the technical training necessary to meet career goals. “Each training program is interactive and includes readiness and reinforcement activities,” said Larry Granville, owner of CCT Business Training, “and we train each participant on the key skills and knowledge that we know will make a difference.”
Core courses selected by the State include many basic courses in computer operating systems, database development, and web collaboration tools. The list also includes more technical courses, such as administering SharePoint servers and a number of classes for SQL programming and building data models.
CCT Business Training has provided B2B training solutions in the Upstate and surrounding areas for more than 20 years.
