Carolina Nephrology Advanced Practitioner Wins Teaching Award

Jordan Crosby, PA-C accepts award presented by Peter Tilkemeier, MD

GREENVILLE, SC – Jordan Crosby, PA-C, a provider at Carolina Nephrology, was the recipient of this year’s APP Teaching Award presented by Peter Tilkemeier, MD, of PRISMA.

This honor is awarded annually to an advanced practice provider, or APP, who has demonstrated excellence in teaching residents and students in training. This was Crosby’s second time winning a Prisma department of medicine award since her tenure with Carolina Nephrology.

Crosby, who has been with Carolina Nephrology since 2016, says, “Carolina Nephrology plays a huge role in educating physicians in training at Prisma. Our physicians do an excellent job of making sure the residents learn key nephrology concepts. I am so grateful to be able to participate in the effort and for the opportunity to teach. Education is empowering and knowing our residents are getting a quality nephrology rotation gives me confidence that they will take great care of our patient population in the future.”

“Crosby’s background as a Nephrology Physician Assistant specializing in Chronic Kidney Disease and Acute Renal Failure has been a vital asset to both our team and our patients,” says Chief Executive Officer, John K. Evans.
