Greenville, SC – the Greenville Chamber of Commerce engaged local project management firm, [bu:st] LLC, to structure, moderate and document a workshop defining future goals for their Accelerate initiative. Accelerate is Greenville’s private sector-fueled economic development initiative launched in 2010 to cultivate strategic growth of the region. The initial piece of the two-part workshop was held in August as an idea-gathering exercise, focusing on input from the community. Part two was held on December 5th with [bu:st] facilitators utilizing exercises that evaluated each proposed initiative based on expected impact, effort and cost, along with a discussion on metrics for different areas. With over 400 ideas gathered from the community in August, the [bu:st] methodology helped to categorize and simplify the data to create and prioritize concrete goals over the next 3-5 years.
“We were thrilled with the work performed by [bu:st],” stated Greenville Chamber President and CEO Carlos Phillips. “With an initiative like Accelerate, it is imperative that we not only capture the voice of the business community, but execute upon their needs. [bu:st] has taken many voices and allowed us to speak with one unified voice moving forward with the confidence that unique perspectives from throughout our region were considered, valued and included. Currently, they are assisting us with the very important process of making decisions that directly impact the trajectory of our community.”[bu:st] LLC provides project management support specialists who create structure in complex environments and manage relationships using the unique [bu:st] method.
