Upstate, SC - October 7th, 2020 – Businesses across the Upstate of South Carolina are supporting the Alzheimer’s Association South Carolina Chapter as sponsors of the 2020 Walk to End Alzheimer’s®.
Walk to End Alzheimer’s events are being held throughout the month of October in Anderson, Greenville and Spartanburg. Due to COVID-19, the Alzheimer’s Association is encouraging participants to walk as individuals or in small groups wherever they choose on sidewalks, tracks and trails.
“While our Walks may look different this year, we are grateful to have the steadfast support and leadership of our local business community,” said Cindy Alewine, President & CEO, Alzheimer’s Association SC Chapter. “With this support, the Alzheimer’s Association has continued to provide safe and accessible support services to individuals living with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers throughout the pandemic, while also supporting critically-needed research.”

The Spartanburg Walk to End Alzheimer’s is coming up on October 17, 2020. Its top sponsors include All About Seniors, Union County Cares (Barbara Harter Rippy), Comfort Keepers, and Senior Living Guide.
In Greenville, the top local sponsors of Walk to End Alzheimer’s include All About Seniors, Harmony at Five Forks, Palmetto Mortuary, Waterstone on Augusta, Comfort Keepers Greenville, and NHC HealthCare Greenville/Mauldin. The Greenville Walk was held on October 3, 2020, and teams will continue to walk and fundraise through December 2020.
Top local sponsors of the Rock Hill Walk to End Alzheimer’s include All About Seniors, Comporium, Simpson Law Firm, Individuals Caring for the Elderly, and Watercrest Senior Living Fort Mill-Indian Land. The Rock Hill Walk was held on September 26, 2020, and teams continue to walk and fundraise through December 2020.
