Better Business Bureau® (BBB®) serving Upstate South Carolina presented five high school students with scholarships through the Better Business Bureau Education Foundation on November 3, 2022, during the Student of Integrity Awards gala at the Hilton Greenville. The scholarships may be used to attend the college or university of the student’s choosing.
Through this program, BBB shines a light on local students and hopes to develop future business leaders who will promote ethics in the Upstate marketplace.
“The students selected for this award were the most exceptional candidates from an unprecedented number of applicants,” said Vee Daniel, president and CEO of BBB. “They have demonstrated remarkable leadership abilities and a commitment to integrity and ethics. Their applications, letters of recommendation and academic achievements were the most impressive out all of the applications received.”
Applications were distributed to every high school in the 10-county region of Upstate South Carolina and one application per high school was accepted. Selected by a panel of volunteer judges, the Student of Integrity Award recipients were each awarded scholarships in the amount of $1,000.
