Better Business Bureau® serving Upstate South Carolina announces the launch of its new free webinar series for small business owners and employees. The webinar series will offer a wide range of topics helpful for business growth. Every business needs tools to manage and grow its business, and BBB strives to strengthen small businesses within the Upstate with this free resource.

Founder and principal of DFS Creative Concepts, Dorothy Freeman Self, with co-presenter Jon Lopez, will present the first webinar on May 13 at 1 p.m. EST. “Using Digital Marketing to Enhance Your Business” will educate attendees on types of digital advertising—from simple strategies business owners can implement themselves to more advanced strategies involving third-party vendors. Attendees can register for the free event here.

“One of the top reasons small businesses fail early on is because they don’t have a strong understanding of advertising, and advertising vendors use that to their advantage,” Self said.

The recommendations presented in the webinar are focused on growing businesses and what they need to consider as their budget grows, and what to look for when they are making advertising decisions.

Self has worked in the marketing industry for over a decade and previously served as the marketing manager for Gannett, parent company of The Greenville News.

Future small business webinar dates will be announced later. For more information on BBB events, visit
