Auro Hotels is pleased to announce the promotion of seven exceptional leaders whose many contributions and talents have made Auro Hotels the company it is today.
Sid Wall has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Select Service Operations and Shared Services. Sid began his career at Auro Hotels in 1996 as Regional Director of Sales & Marketing for Florida Hotels. His career progressed with General Manager roles, Regional Director of Operations, and for the last 13 years as Vice President, Select Service Operations & Shared Services. Sid oversees Auro Hotels Select Service Hotel portfolio which includes 26 hotels affiliated with Hilton and Marriott brands. His expertise lies in team building, associate development, and helping hotels maintain a balanced scorecard approach to hotel operations.
Jane Brophy has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Full Service Operations and Shared Services. Brophy has been with Auro Hotels since 2005 and overseen sustained growth through exemplary leadership of sales and marketing, food and beverage, community relations, and the execution of multi-million-dollar renovation projects. She has managed a diversified portfolio of hotels that includes Marriott, Hyatt, and Westin brands. She has extensive expertise in opening and transitioning full-service hotels, leveraging her background in food & beverage outlets, multi-unit management, and strong owner/relationship skills. Her specialties include driving top-line revenues and maximizing flow-through.
Lou Cataland has been serving as Auro's legal counsel for 6 years and has been promoted to General Counsel. Responsible for overseeing all legal activities for Auro Hotels, Lou brings expertise in real estate and financial transactions. He provides strategic counsel and expert legal advice for the company’s acquisitions and sales, financing transactions and development, management, and vendor agreements. Lou also handles joint venture, partnership, and other investor agreements and manages litigation through outside attorneys. He has a broad base of legal knowledge and experience in hospitality, real estate, procurement, commercial transactions, technology licensing, corporate governance, and federal and state regulations. He is a strategic planner who skillfully interfaces with business leaders, attorneys, customers, accountants, and government officials.
Stephanie Staton was promoted to Vice President of Talent & Culture. She oversees all corporate and hotel-level human resource management, partnering with the legal team to mitigate risk. She helps foster Auro’s people-centric culture and ensures a well-trained, highly engaged pool of workforce talent through effective recruiting and the development of a competitive compensation and benefits structure. Staton brings extensive career experience to her role, with more than 15 years in HR and staffing, including six years in the hospitality industry where she has held on-property Human Resources Director roles for full-service hotels within the Hyatt, Marriott, and Hilton brand portfolios.
Madhu Vivek has been with Auro Hotels for 32 years and has been promoted to Director of Corporate Accounting. She began working at Auro (then JHM Hotels) when there were only five employees in the accounting department. Over the years, she has worked in all areas of accounting, including accounts payable, payroll management, accounting manager, and corporate accounting, while supporting and training associates within the department.
Vanaja Parthasarthy joined Auro Hotels 27 years ago as a temporary employee and has now been promoted to Director of Payroll. She has been serving in the auro payroll department for the past 25 years where her dedication is only surpassed by her attention to detail and kindness to the employees she serves.
Brian Crowne has been promoted from Marriott Greenville General Manager to Corporate Food & Beverage Director. Crowne’s responsibilities in his new role ensure optimal performance of Auro’s food & beverage outlet operations through maximization of vendor relationships, reduction of food costs, a focus on guest satisfaction, and empowerment of service staff. Mr. Crowne brings more than 20 years of accomplished hospitality management experience to the role from both hotel and food & beverage outlet operations. Crowne has received top rankings for the outlets and operations he has overseen, garnering several service excellence awards for his leadership in the industry and from the Marriott and Hyatt brands.
