GREENVILLE, S.C. (Aug. 23, 2018) – Smith Moore Leatherwood LLP is pleased to announce the addition of attorney Nicolas J. Cherry to the firm’s Greenville office.
Cherry focuses his practice on products liability, toxic and mass torts and personal injury matters. He will work with a broad range of clients in products liability, including manufacturers, suppliers and retailers of asbestos-containing products, automotive equipment and products, industrial equipment, latex products, pharmaceuticals and recreational products. Prior to joining Smith Moore Leatherwood, Cherry served two years as a law clerk for the Honorable Timothy Cain, a United States District Court Judge in Anderson. He also gained experience as an extern for the S.C. Department of Education.
Cherry graduated from the University of South Carolina where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English, cum laude. He went on to earn his juris doctor, cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law. During law school, Cherry was the senior articles editor for the South Carolina Journal of International Law and Business.
