“A safe, sanitary, and secure living environment is critical to a family’s well-being. Emmanuel’s Hammer shares the love of Christ by rebuilding homes and restoring hope in our community,” commented K.C. Carter, Executive Director of Emmanuel’s Hammer. “We hope to inspire and encourage individuals who want to make a significant difference in the lives of families in need.”
The goal of Emmanuel’s Hammer is not simply to provide decent homes to those in the most critical need, but also to develop sustainable solutions for their clients. They help homeowners acquire the resources, knowledge, and experience they will need to continue to help themselves and maintain their newly rehabilitated homes over the long term.
Since its inception, Emmanuel’s Hammer has provided over 54,000 volunteer hours, rebuilt or remodeled over 168 homes, and led over 100 disaster relief and repair projects. Ninety-five percent of every dollar donated is invested in Upstate communities served by Emmanuel’s Hammer.
