AnMed Health Honea Path Family Medicine breaks ground on $1.1 million addition

Primary care providers and staff at AnMed Health Honea Path Family Medicine, located at 21 South Shirley Avenue, broke ground on a $1.1 million expansion March 19 that will help meet the health care needs of Honea Path and the surrounding community and offer greater access and convenience.

It is the practice’s first expansion since it opened in 2000 and will include a larger, stateof-the-art building with more patient rooms and parking. A nurse practitioner was added  in fall 2018, and an additional physician and support staff will be added this summer.

Drs. James Smith and Kent Jenkins will be joined by Dr. Grayson Jordan in July when the expansion project is slated for completion. They currently partner with nurse practitioner Stacey Branyon, Candace Whitfield, and Gerald Brown Jr. Branyon started at the practice as a high school student, and all three trained with Dr. Smith, Honea Path’s longtime community physician.

Honea Path Family Medicine has been vital to the health care needs of the community for  decades. AnMed Health remains focused on ensuring the best care and providing ample
access for patients, their families, and the community.

Office hours are currently Monday - Friday, 7 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 to 7 p.m. New patients are being accepted. To schedule a visit, call 864.369.0552 or visit AnMedHealth.org.
