Greenville, SC – Andrea Simrell, newly promoted to public relations director for VantagePoint Marketing, has successfully completed the Examination for Accreditation in Public Relations, entitling her to use the APR professional designation.
The Accreditation program aims to improve the practice of public relations by assessing competence in 60 areas of knowledge, skills and abilities associated with the profession. Simrell successfully completed the rigorous process, including presenting her portfolio to a Panel Presentation of three peers and sitting for a computer-based examination, to receive her Accreditation.
As public relations director at VantagePoint Marketing, Simrell steers public relations strategies and tactics for several of the B2B marketing agency’s clients. She also leads a team of public relations professionals in content development, media relations and strategic planning.

Simrell has more than 12 years of industry experience and is a summa cum laude graduate from the University of Georgia’s Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication with a degree in public relations. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), International Foodservice Editorial Council (IFEC) and serves on the 2019-19 Board of Directors for the Junior League of Greenville.
