Aloft Greenville Downtown Celebrates New Partnership with Lucky Pup Rescue SC

GREENVILLE, S.C. (August 8, 2018) – Aloft Greenville Downtown today announced its partnership with Lucky Pup Rescue SC, who will serve as the new partner for its successful foster dog program. Through the program, Aloft partners with a local rescue organization and houses one dog at a time that can be adopted by hotel guests and locals. Since the program’s launch in 2016, the hotel has found homes for more than 70 dogs.

“We are excited to partner with Lucky Pup Rescue SC as we continue to grow our foster dog program,” said Suzanne Lee, director of sales for Aloft Greenville Downtown. “In addition to helping more than 70 dogs find their forever homes, the program has been extremely well-received by hotel guests and locals. We look forward to building on this success with the team at Lucky Pup.”

Lucky Pup Rescue SC is a Greenville-based non-profit organization that rescues dogs from high-kill shelters, abusive or neglectful homes, owner surrenders or stray situations. The dogs are then matched with perspective adopters through an in-depth screening process. “We admire the work that Aloft Greenville Downtown is doing in the community and look forward to working very closely with them moving forward,” said Elizabeth Tate Mashburn, president and founder of Lucky Pup Rescue SC. “This partnership allows us to expand our reach in the community and, ultimately, find forever homes for more dogs in need.”

The foster dog program is supported by several local sponsors. Most recently, Aloft has partnered with Noble Dog Hotel, who provides grooming and training during each dog’s stay as well as a package of complimentary day care and boarding services upon adoption. Paws & Claws has also joined the program to provide one bag of premium dog food and a $25 gift card to each new owner. Aloft’s original partners include Wilson Associates Real Estate, who partnered with Tindall Architecture Workshop to build a state-of-the-art dog house to serve as each adoptable dog’s own space to rest, and Paw Paws USA, who continues to provide a custom collar and leash for each dog upon adoption.

This program is modeled after the foster dog program at Aloft Asheville Downtown, which launched in 2014 and has helped more than 100 dogs find their forever homes. The Aloft hotels in Greenville and Asheville are operated by McKibbon Hospitality, a leading hotel development and management group committed to providing unique guest experiences while making a difference in the local communities it serves. Two other McKibbon hotels, the Aloft Tallahassee Downtown and Aloft Orlando Downtown, have also implemented the program.
