Airport commission welcomes Jay Beeson as new member

GREER, S.C.—The Greenville-Spartanburg Airport Commission is pleased to welcome Jay Beeson as a new commission member. Mr. Beeson is a principal of Mark III Properties, a residential subdivision development company based in Spartanburg, SC. Mr. Beeson is also a licensed Professional Engineer, licensed General Contractor and licensed Real Estate Agent. Mr. Beeson replaces William Barnet III of Spartanburg County who recently retired from the Airport Commission.


“We are excited to welcome Jay Beeson as a new Commissioner at GSP. We know his experience and input will be invaluable as the Airport District continues to fulfill its mission to be an economic driver in the Upstate,” said Minor Shaw, Chairperson of the Greenville-Spartanburg Airport Commission.

The Greenville-Spartanburg Airport Commission is the governing body of the Greenville-Spartanburg Airport District which operates Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport. The Commission’s six members are appointed by the Governor. Three of the members must be residents of Spartanburg County and each must receive the recommendation of the majority of the Spartanburg County Legislative Delegation. The other three members must be residents of Greenville County and each must receive the recommendation of the majority of the Greenville County Legislative Delegation. Members of the Commission serve a six-year term and can be reappointed.
