SPARTANBURG, S.C.—The 45th Annual Assault on Mt. Mitchell is sold out for the second year in a row! The Freewheelers Cycling Association of Spartanburg is offering a special for Marion riders—all 2020 Marion registrants will have the opportunity to register early, before general registration opens, for the Assault on Mt. Mitchell in 2021.
The Assault on Marion is the Assault on Mt. Mitchell’s shorter, 74.2-mile sister ride from downtown Spartanburg, South Carolina, to the Tom Johnson Campground in Marion, North Carolina. Now through March 31, the registration fee is $55, but it will increase to $65 from April 1 through May 16 and $75 at Packet Pick Up.
To secure an early registration spot for the 2021 Assault on Mt. Mitchell, riders may click here. Registration closes Friday, May 15 at 5 p.m., however, participants may register in person at Packet Pick-Up on Sunday, May 17.
