CLEMSON, S.C. – WCCP 105.5 The Roar’s role as the flagship station for Clemson Athletics and Clemson football has expanded for the 2017-2018 season. WCCP has served as the flagship station for Clemson Athletics for the last fifteen years, broadcasting Tiger sports throughout the Upstate in Anderson, Greenville, Oconee and Pickens counties.
Every single Clemson football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball and baseball game will continue to be broadcasted on WCCP’s airwaves, but the station will now take on the role of distributor, emanating broadcasts to seventeen Clemson Tigers Network affiliates around the southeast.
“Our commitment to Clemson runs very deep,” said Debra Jones, general manager of The Roar. “As a result, we are very pleased to serve as the official flagship station for the Clemson Tigers Network and Clemson Athletics. We are very excited to work with JMI Sports, and the new Clemson Tigers Network. Our entire team is committed to producing quality programming and sharing it with the entire network.”
Clemson football game days will feature over twelve hours of content for Clemson fans. The Tiger Pregame Show, hosted by Scott Rhymer and Kelly Gramlich, will begin six hours before every Clemson game. The Tiger Tailgate Show, brought to you by the Clemson Tigers Network and hosted by David Stein and William Qualkinbush, will follow the Tiger Pregame Show and broadcast for two hours before handing the baton off to Don Munson and Tim Bourret for continued pregame coverage. Munson, Rodney Williams and Reggie Merriweather will broadcast the game and Jimmy Watt will wrap it all up with the 5th Quarter Show.
In addition to game day coverage, WCCP and the Clemson Tigers Network will broadcast Tiger Calls with Dabo Swinney every Monday of the season from 8-9 PM on 105.5 FM and our affiliates.
Clemson Athletics is more than just football, and therefore, WCCP will broadcast every single Clemson men’s basketball game, women’s basketball game and baseball game on our airwaves during the 2017-2018 season. We will also partner with the Clemson Tigers Network to broadcast all those events on our seventeen affiliate stations.
