The Urban League of the Upstate will host the Annual Equal Opportunity Dinner Awards Gala on Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 6:00pm at the TD Convention Center in Greenville, SC!

One of our largest fundraisers of the year, the Equal Opportunity Dinner Awards Gala provides us with an opportunity to celebrate the vital work and commitment of our community and corporate heroes as well as raise money for ongoing programs, which we have provided the Upstate community for more than 45 years!

The 2018 honorees include Dr. Brenda Thames, Greenville Health System, Whitney M. Young, Jr. Honoree; Dr. Ansel Sanders, Public Education Partners, Xanthene Norris Education Excellence Honoree; Father Patrick Tuttle on behalf on St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church & School, Volunteer of the Year Honoree; and Duke Energy as the Corporate Citizen Recipient. These individuals and organizations have made a tremendous impact in the Upstate with their contributions.

Our gala theme, “Black Tie & Sneakers,” is the perfect way to celebrate in style and comfort! From tuxedos, sequins, and comfortable sneakers, festive and fun environment, and cocktails, guests will enjoy an evening of tributes to our honorees, participants, volunteers and members as they brightly among us! The host and hostess for the evening will be Mr. James Jordon of JCC General Contractors, and Leslie Haas of Paper Airplanes. A party with a purpose you don’t want to miss!
