Spartanburg, S.C. (October 30, 2017) – United Way of the Piedmont is excited to welcome two new members to its team: Cierra Fowler, entering the role of Campaign Director, and Bryson McKinney, entering the role of Junior Accountant.
Cierra comes to UWP from the hospice and home care industry where she has over 8 years of experience in a variety of roles. Most recently she was an account liaison with Heartland Hospice, while simultaneously attending Limestone College, where in May of 2017 she received her Masters of Business Administration.
As Campaign Director, Cierra will be responsible for managing employee-giving campaigns, relationships with corporate United Way partners, and developing innovative fundraising strategies. Cierra says “Being part of the United Way team is so special to me because I get to give back to my community as part of my job every day. But I also get to connect with other professionals and tell them about all the great things United Way is doing.”
Bryson also recently graduated from Limestone College with his Bachelor of Applied Science in Accounting. In the role of Junior Accountant, Bryson will support the finance team in its management of United Way of the Piedmont day-to-day operations. Bryson is excited about the opportunities at United Way as his first job after graduating college. “I feel fortunate that I was able to find a position that uses my degree in a way that helps the community I live in.”
