Taylors Fire and Sewer District Receives Top Award from SCDHEC

Cutline: Samantha Babb, Director of Sewer Services for the Taylors Fire and Sewer District, recently accepted the South Carolina Department of Health and Environment Control (SCDHEC) Facility Award of Excellence for 2017 on behalf of the district. The award was presented at the March 2018 South Carolina Environmental Conference held in Myrtle Beach.

Taylors, S.C. (April 13, 2018) – Taylors Fire and Sewer District is pleased to announce that the district recently received the South Carolina Department of Health and Environment Control's (SCDHEC) Facility Award of Excellence for 2017. This was the second consecutive year that the district has received the prestigious award. The award was presented at the March 2018 South Carolina Environmental Conference held in Myrtle Beach.

According to DHEC, the Facility Award of Excellence recognizes those facilities that are striving to meet or exceed customers' expectations in environmental protection. All South Carolina facilities that have a National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) or a No Discharge (ND) permit were eligible to submit an application for the recognition.

"This award is a testimony of the dedication of our staff team to perform their work to the highest standard possible," said Paul Bowen, Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Taylors Fire and Sewer District. "We are proud of their commitment to water quality protection and the teamwork they consistently demonstrate."
