SPARTANBURG, SC — April 2, 2018 — The Spartanburg Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce the addition of Zach Fox as communications coordinator.
Fox comes to the Spartanburg Chamber after more than four years with the Spartanburg Herald-Journal. A Greer native and lifelong Upstate resident, Fox graduated from the University of South Carolina in August 2013 with a degree in print journalism, starting work at the Herald-Journal in November 2013. After coming to the area in 2013, Fox has been inspired by the progress Spartanburg has seen and looks forward to finding new ways to share its successes.
As communications coordinator, Fox is primarily responsible for identifying storytelling opportunities that showcase Spartanburg and developing written content for Spartanburg Chamber entities.
“It is advantageous to add someone to the team who knows community players and dynamics the way that Zach does,” said Allen Smith, president and CEO at the Spartanburg Chamber. “We’re confident that Zach will help us tell Spartanburg’s story and raise awareness of our organization’s impact.”
The hire completes the Spartanburg Chamber’s communications team, which serves the Spartanburg Chamber, Economic Futures Group, Spartanburg Convention & Visitors Bureau, OneSpartanburg, and the Downtown Development Partnership. Fox joins Naomi Sargent, Director of Strategic Communications, and Brooke Robertson, Design Coordinator.
