Greenville, S.C., January 23, 2018 - Emmanuel's Hammer, a nonprofit, faith-based organization providing home rehabilitation services for homeowners in need, has named Michael Richards as Project Manager.
Richards will assist the executive director in all facets of the organization with special focus on the management and supervision of projects in Anderson, Pickens, Oconee and Greenville counties and special disaster recovery missions.
“Prior to joining us, Michael served as an active volunteer,” explained K.C. Carter, Executive Director of Emmanuel’s Hammer. “During that time Michael began to realize he could use his special construction talents to better serve the Lord. We’re delighted to have him on our team.”
Richards and his wife Kimberly have three children, daughter Avery and twin boys Blake and Chase. He and his family are active members of First Presbyterian Church in Anderson, SC.
Emmanuel’s Hammer provides safe, sanitary and secure homes to those with the most critical need. Additionally, the organization develops sustainable solutions for their clients, helping homeowner-clients acquire the resources, knowledge, and experience needed to maintain their newly rehabilitated homes over the long term.
Since it’s inception, Emmanuel’s Hammer has completed over 250 disaster relief and repair missions, and rebuilt or remodeled over 70 homes. Ninety-eight percent of the organization’s annual revenue is invested in local communities served by Emmanuel’s Hammer.
