Meals on Wheels of Greenville receives gift from Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation

Greenville, South Carolina (May 30, 2018) – Meals on Wheels of Greenville has received $2,225 from the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation. The funds will support the organization’s daily meal program for homebound individuals in Greenville County, focusing specifically on the purchase, production, and distribution of meals.

“The quality and nutrition of the food we provide to homebound individuals in our community is critical to our mission. This gift will allow us to continue providing healthy menu items in addition to daily volunteer visits to those we serve,” said Executive Director at Meals on Wheels of Greenville, Catriona Carlisle.

Established in 2001, the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation provides financial support for the programs and organizations dedicated to feeding the hungry in the communities it serves. Since its inception, the foundation has awarded more than $10 million in grants.
