Mauldin appoints Joe Lanahan Recreation Director

MAULDIN, SC – City Council approved City Administrator Trey Eubanks’ appointment of Joe Lanahan as Recreation Director for the City of Mauldin during the October 16th City Council Meeting. Joe joins the Mauldin team from Greenville County Parks, Recreation and Tourism, where he was the Program Manager for the past 12 years. Before working for Greenville Recreation, Joe was with the City of Asheville Parks and Recreation as a Recreation Center Director III/Facility Manager. Joe received his BA from Saint Mary’s College of California and his Masters of Education from Western Carolina University. Joe has certifications as a Parks & Recreational Professional and The NRPA Directors School.

Joe and his wife Margaret live in Greenville and have two children.
