Local young leaders hold 2nd Annual 1831 Gala

Spartanburg, S.C.– From its founding in 1831 to present day, Spartanburg has a long history of philanthropy. As the community continues its energizing growth, young residents support the local organizations that make Spartanburg great. This year with partnerships between United Way of the Piedmont Young Leaders, Spartanburg Young Professionals, and some Junior Members of the Piedmont Club, we are pleased to announce the 2nd annual edition of the 1831 Gala.

WHAT: The 1831 Gala will bring Spartanburg young leaders together for a formal night of fare prepared by the Piedmont club and music from Black and Blue Experience. The event will be focused on raising funds and awareness to support the efforts of the United Way of the Piedmont Behavioral Health Taskforce partner, Upstate Warrior Solution, a local nonprofit that connects veterans and their families to resources and opportunities in their communities.

A special announcement regarding a new United Way of the Piedmont veteran initiative will be made. This initiative is part of a recently launched United Way Worldwide program that is currently being implemented in just 11 other United Ways in the United States. United Way of the Piedmont will be number 12 and the only one in South Carolina.
