Greenville, SC – FinTrust Investment Advisors held its second annual financial forum on Thursday, October 5, at the Hyatt Regency in Greenville, South Carolina. This year, the forum featured keynote speaker was Frank Abagnale.
Abagnale shared details of his exceptional life, which became the inspiration behind the award-winning movie and most recently Broadway musical 'Catch Me If You Can'. In addition, he provided information about personal and cyber security and ideas to safeguard against breaches. There were 1208 breaches in 2016, affecting 1.6 billion people. His website is abagnale.com. Abagnale headlined a diverse selection of financial speakers, which included Brad Thomas, speakers from MIT's AgeLab, and Goldman Sachs.
Brad Thomas, a prolific writer that has appeared in Forbes, MarketWatch, Institutional Investor, and The Street, spoke about his book, 'The Trump Factor', and the secrets behind the growth of Trump's real estate empire. MIT's AgeLab, created in 1999, focused on how to stay healthy, active, and happy well into one's 70's or 80's. Goldman Sachs began the event with a presentation on the Economic Outlook, and how to plan for the future.
FinTrust Partner Philip Brice stated, “We were thrilled with the turnout. We had over 200 guests enjoy the event. Our speakers did a fantastic job and the financial knowledge communicated was invaluable. We look forward to next year when we host our third annual forum."
