GREENVILLE, S.C.—Greenville Country Club (GCC) is set to host the Morgan Lucas Junior Championship at its award-winning Chanticleer golf course on Saturday, February 23 and Sunday, February 24, 2019. The Morgan Lucas Junior Championship is administered by the South Carolina Junior Golf Association for the top juniors in the state.
Greenville Country Club hosts this event in honor of Tommy Lucas and Jimmy Morgan III, the sons of two past GCC members, who tragically passed away in the summer of 1933. To keep their memory alive, an annual golf tournament was established and has been played for over 60 years.
“We are looking forward to continuing the legacy of Tommy and Jimmy again this year,” Karl Stefka, Head Golf Professional at GCC, says. “We sincerely thank our members for their support of the Junior Golf Program at the club.”
Sponsorship opportunities are available for the tournament including: Platinum Package for $1,500, Gold Package for $500, Silver Package for $200 and Bronze Package for $50. All questions and inquiries regarding sponsorships can be directed to Karl Stefka at firstname.lastname@example.org.
