Duncan, S.C., Jan. 11, 2018 – A professional job fair held by the DRÄXLMAIER Group at its U.S. headquarters on Jan. 9 attracted a total of 511 job seekers eager to learn more about the open positions at the automotive supplier.
The seven-hour event, which was advertised on social media, gave attendees the chance to meet with recruiters and to submit job applications right on location. The DRÄXLMAIER Group is currently looking for maintenance technicians, production operators, forklift drivers and engineers for its Duncan plant site.
"This was the first time that we have advertised direct hire positions for all levels," said Lori Morgan, head of Recruiting for the DRÄXLMAIER Group in the USA. "The turnout was by far greater than we could have expected. We were absolutely thrilled that we had 511 participants at our job fair."
The great interest created long lines outside the building and provided a steady stream of applicants for the recruiting team of the supplier.
"When the fair started at 11 o'clock, we had already about 85 people lining up," said Nicholas Jones, a recruiter for the DRÄXLMAIER Group. "With one hour left to go, we still had between 20 and 25 applicants waiting for their turn to talk with a recruiter."
In addition to the high interest, the recruiters of the DRÄXLMAIER Group were also impressed by high skill level of the participants who came to the job fair.
"We will be making some offers immediately and be setting up second interviews for many other candidates as well," said Morgan.
Individuals unable to attend the job fair can still apply online via www.draexlmaier.us. The website also features links to the current job opportunities available at the DRÄXLMAIER Group in Duncan. To access the links, select “Vacant Positions” under the “Career” pull-down tab on the homepage.
