Clemson Announces 2017 Spiro Sessions; designed to Help Entrepreneurs Learn from Experts While Sharing with Colleagues Who Experience Similar Challenges

GREENVILLE, SC, July 12, 2017 - “Complacency kills businesses. Business owners and managers who aren’t continually learning, seeking out connections with other business people, looking for ways to keep their businesses relevant and promote internal innovation and growth, risk a slow death”, says Ann Coleman, business attorney and coach and current panelist and co-moderator for the 2017 Clemson Spiro Sessions.
One way upstate business owners can kill several of these birds with one stone is to attend Clemson’s Spiro Sessions beginning August 9th at The Collective at Society Hall in Greenville’s West End. This professional development program is designed to help entrepreneurs and business owners understand the “business behind success.”
Area business leaders will conduct 8, 2 ½-hour panel discussions, every other week from August 9th through November 15th, examining the fundamental building blocks of business and the necessary tools to build sustainable success in these core areas: Marketing, Sales, Accounting, Legal, Operations, Banking and IT.
If you’re responsible for growing a small to mid-sized business and looking for a deeper understanding of business principals, inspiration for change and lasting connections, take advantage of Clemson’s Spiro Sessions. The Sessions are designed to help busy entrepreneurs and business leaders learn from experts while sharing with colleagues who experience similar challenges. By drawing on the experiences of business leaders and community professionals as panelists, you will gain practical and insightful knowledge that will allow you to strategically position your business for the current economy and position your business for growth.
“The Spiro Sessions fills the need of the small to mid-sized business that is looking for business school experience as applied by professional industry leaders but without a full-time program. Past graduates made marked improvement in their business acumen throughout the program. For example, one of the 2015 participants, using the skills gained in the program, landed a $400K project that he says was a direct result from the knowledge and tools that he learned”, says Doug Kim, past and current panelist and co-moderator.
Sponsored by Clemson University’s Spiro Institute, this program provides flexible and affordable professional development. Registration is $250 and class size is strictly limited to 30 participants. Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate. Register online through Eventbrite or contact Ann Coleman at 844-547-2744 or acoleman@concisionlaw.com.
