CBRE has executed the sale of a 141,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing facility located at 1439 Cambridge Street Extension in Abbeville, SC. Texas-based ACS Manufacturing, Inc., acquired the property for $3.1 million with plans to open its newest facility in Q3 2018. Built in 2000, the property was vacant at the time of sale.
CBRE’s Campbell Lewis represented the seller, Upstate Capital, LLC, in the transaction.
“The property offered a lot of amenities that were attractive for manufacturing users with cranes, heavy power and expansion capability to name a few. Also, Abbeville County has a great labor pool which made this a great opportunity for a company like ACS Manufacturing,” said Mr. Lewis, Senior Associate at CBRE. “Abbeville is strategically located less than one hour south of Greenville and close to major throughways I-85, I-385, and I-20, which makes it a great fit for industrial firms looking to expand their operations in South Carolina.”
The industrial property is located in the Lakelands Commerce Center, approximately two miles east of Abbeville’s central business district. It includes 41.5 acres and features 141,000 sq. ft. of combined warehouse and office space, 28-ft. clear heights, three dock high doors and 14 drive-in doors.
