BANDWAGON receives grant from SCRA to fund Digital Locker Room Development

GREENVILLE, S.C. – BANDWAGON has been granted $10,500 from South Carolina Research Authority(SCRA) to fund its Digital Locker Room Development.

Chartered by the state of South Carolina in 1983, SCRA, is a non-profit corporation designed to foster South Carolina’s innovation economy. The SC Launch program is SCRA’s entrepreneurial platform that provides mentoring, grants and investments to qualified South Carolina companies. BANDWAGON was accepted as a Client Company in 2016 and has been funded a total of $25,000 by SCRA’s entrepreneurial program, SC Launch, Inc.

“The development of this Digital Locker Room product allows us to connect directly with fans, giving teams and sponsors the visibility into attendance and engagement, and streamlines the game day experience of fans by connecting them with all of their teams in one platform,” said Harold Hughes, the founder and CEO of BANDWAGON.

BANDWAGON creates transparency and trust in a highly segmented ticketed live event industry through a proprietary permissioned Blockchain (built on IBM’s Hyperledger Fabric), Hughes said. Event owners can track, with certainty, the authenticity, ownership, and restrictions of each ticket that enters their stadium, regardless of where it is purchased.
