Greenville, S.C. – Gallivan White Boyd, is pleased to announce that Greenville attorney T. David Rheney has been named Secretary of Insuralex, an international association of attorneys who focus their practice on insurance and reinsurance law issues.
Rheney will serve as Secretary from June 2018 until June 2019. This position will lead him to become President in June 2021. Insuralex is an affiliation of independent law firms from across Europe, North America, Latin America, Asia, Australia, and the Middle East. Its members share the belief that it is vital to be aware of the evolving global insurance markets and the impact of those changes on legal services and litigation, to be pro-active in seeking that knowledge, to maintain deep and long-term relationships with clients, to maintain high quality standards, and to be pragmatic in their approach. Its members have been recognized by peers in their own jurisdictions as authorities in the fields of insurance, reinsurance and defense litigation. Rheney has been an active member of Insuralex since 2010.
"David has consistently shown, throughout his career, that he is a leader in insurance law. This recognition validates his dedication to Insuralex and insurance practice generally and further supports his ability to lead within his insurance practice at home. Congratulations to David on his achievement.” GWB CEO, C. William McGee said.
Rheney’s law practice focuses on insurance, tort and personal injury, transportation, products liability, and professional negligence. He is a member of the South Carolina Defense Trial Attorneys Association, International Association of Defense Counsel, American Board of Trial Advocates, and the Defense Research Institute.
