Creative industry luminary to share key marketing insights for 2018
GREENVILLE, S.C. (January 3, 2018) – Endeavor, a membership-based coworking community for independent agencies and freelancers in the creative services fields as well as corporate marketing teams, announces that Marla Kaplowitz, new president and CEO of the 4A’s (American Association of Advertising Agencies), the leading authority representing the marketing communications agency business, will speak at its first Collaborators & Cocktails networking speaker series of the new year on January 18, 2018. Kaplowitz, who has been recognized by Advertising Age as a ‘Woman to Watch’, is one of the top female executives in the advertising and marketing industry.
Renowned throughout the advertising and marketing industry, Kaplowitz’s 30-year career has given her an insider's perspective on what brands and agencies around the country are getting right, whose creative is hitting the mark, and which trends will impact the creative industry in the year ahead. She will share her insights, award-winning brand creative strategies, and lessons learned over the course of her varied career.
Prior to the 4A’s, she was CEO of MEC North America, where she led the agency to become a disrupter in talent management with its innovative approaches to attracting, nurturing and retaining the industry’s top talent. Under Kaplowitz, MEC earned top spots in Fortune’s "Great Places to Work" feature and Advertising Age’s "Best Places to Work in Advertising and Marketing" in 2015.
Prior to joining MEC, Kaplowitz spent 12 years at Mediavest, where she oversaw the Procter & Gamble Communications Planning assignment for North America. She began her career at DMB&B before moving to Ammirati Puris Lintas. She serves on the boards of The Ad Council, Advertising Self-Regulatory Council, Digital Advertising Alliance, and Trustworthy Accountability Group. She was honored by The John A. Reisenbach Foundation in 2016, receiving the Distinguished Citizen Award.
